Yuvraj Singh has announced his retirement from international cricket on Monday, having won the India T-20 World Cup and the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Yuvraj Singh is doing a press conference sometime later in Mumbai's South Hotel.

Yuvraj Singh, the 37-year-old champion in Chandigarh in 1981, has made an incredible contribution to Indian cricket.

Who can forget the final of the NetWest Series in 2002 when Yuvraj Singh, along with Mohammad Kaif, gave his captain Sourav Ganguly a chance to lift his T-shirt after standing in the Lord's Gallery.

Yuvraj had a mixture of Dhoni and Dravid in that innings. Although Yuvraj did not shine much in the Test but he got the chance as much as he proved himself.

Yuvraj Singh got a real identity in the World T20 in 2007 when he made 6 sixes in an over in Stuart Broad. At the same time, during the 2011 World Cup, he took the Indian team to the next stage on his fielding and batting.

But in the meantime there was probably some other worker who had cancer during the World Cup but he did not know. During this time, Kansarah kept him away from cricket for several months.

Yuvraj Singh played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20 matches for India. In the Test, Yuvraj scored 1900 runs with the help of three centuries and 11 half centuries while in ODI he scored 8701 runs with the help of 14 centuries and 52 half centuries.

Yuvraj Singh played his last Test in 2012. He was last seen in 2017 in ODI cricket. Yuvraj played the first ODI in 2000, the first Test in 2003 and the first T20 match in 2007.

Similarly, Yuvraj scored 1177 runs in T-20 matches. It includes eight half-centuries.

Yuvraj Singh has taken 9 wickets in Tests, 111 in ODIs and 28 wickets in T-20 matches.

Yuvraj Singh has played 231 T-20 matches since 2008 and scored 4857 runs. He has also taken 80 wickets in T-20 matches.

Yuvraj Singh played his last one-day match against the West Indies. Yuvraj played his last T20 game against England. While the last Test match was played against England itself.

Born on December 12, 1981, Yuvraj Singh was not playing cricket in any format for Team India for the last two years. Due to poor form and fitness, he was running out of the Indian team.

Yuvraj has won 27 of the ODIs, 7 in T-20 matches, 5 in the IPL matches and 4 times in the World Cup, Man of the Match.

Yuvraj said that this is a very emotional moment for him, he said that he was thinking about retirement for a long time and now his plan is to play in ICC recognized UV foreign T20 tournaments.

Yuvraj Singh said that I never considered losing a challenge whether it was a match of cricket or a cancer-like illness.

Recalling his cricket career, Yuvraj said, "We have seen many ups and downs in our career of 25 years and especially 17 years of international career. Now I have decided to move forward. This game taught me how to fight, fall, then get up and move on."
