Indian Cricket Teams to Tour New Zealand in Early 2019

Indian teams to tour the land of the Kiwis in early 2019 with exciting series in hand.

The test for the Virat Kohli and his team has started with many overseas tours scheduled in 2018-19 season.

The team is going to tour New Zealand in the January 2019 just after their visit to Australia.

The land of Kiwis has always been a mystery for the Indian team especially in the test arena and they can expect a stern test from the Kane Williamson & Co.

But thankfully, there is no test series scheduled on the tour to New Zealand.

The team will play 5 ODI’s & 3 T20I’s on the tour.

Timings for the tour changed to facilitate Indian Viewers - As per the agreement between the New Zealand and Indian Broadcasters, the start for all the T20 matches has been pushed back by an hour.

Except for the match in Auckland, all the matches will start at 1:30 P.M. Indian Standard Time.

The match in Auckland will start at 12:30 P.M. because of the place being prone to snow fall in night.

The one day internationals will start at 8:30 A.M. as per the Indian Standard time so you may have to get an off from office to watch these matches.

With the short boundaries in the New Zealand and presence of top quality batsmen on both sides, the series is expected to be a run fest and the viewers are definitely going to have a great time this series.

Women teams also scheduled to visit the New Zealand - The zeal and the entertainment is going to be doubled up as the Indian’s women team is also scheduled as ICC women’s championship is also scheduled to take place in New Zealand.

The tournament is of prime importance as it will determine the seven teams that will directly qualify for the world cup to take place in 2019.

The Indian team is expected to have a decent showing in the series going by the recent performances.

The onus will be on the young sensation Smriti Mandhana and the veteran Mithali Raj will give the support to her in the top order.

With the likes of Harmanpreet Kaur & Veda Krishnamurthy in the middle and lower order, we can expect fireworks in the slog over’s of the innings.

The bowling unit will be led by Jhulan Goswami and the spinners can restrict the teams to lower totals.

The team has vastly improved on the field lately and that is why there are expectations from them to come out with flying colors from New Zealand.

India A team to also tour New Zealand - The younger lot and the future of Indian teams are also going to have a taste of the Kiwi land with a tour of three test matches along with three ODI’s.

The team will play the likes of Mount Maunganui, Whangarei & Hamilton in four day matches which will give them a good idea of what to expect when they get a chance with the Indian team.

The team will play ODI’s with Mount Maunganui at the Bay Oval.
