The second season of the Global T20 Cricket League will be played from 25 July to 11 August. There will be a total of 22 matches in the tournament, which includes three play-off games and the final on Sunday 11 August 2019.The six franchises that participated in the first session of the tournament last year included Vancouver Nights, Toronto Nationals, Winnipeg Hawkes, Edmonton Royals, Montreal Tigers and West Indies B.

Cricket Canada president Ranjit Saini said, "We are committed to giving our players a much needed opportunity and risk in Cricket Canada. We will work with the GT20 team to make the 2019 edition more memorable for players and fans. On behalf of Cricket Canada, I invite Canada to the cricket world."The tournament has been set before this season so that a collision with the Euro T20 slam will start in late August this year.
